I’m Lorraine, founder of Twisted Tea Room: a sixty-something woman who believes life—and food—should never be bland. I’ve lived in the UK, Germany, Thailand and Portugal, gathering stories, flavours and a wonderfully mixed collection of jobs along the way—from holiday-camp photographer and luxury-villa sales to caterer, comedy magazine writer, carer and pony-sanctuary manager.

Food has always been the thread running through it all: feeding people, sharing stories and bringing a little fun to the table. Twisted Tea Room brings that journey together in bold, small-batch gourmet salts and BBQ seasonings, developed in Portugal and handcrafted in Portugal and the United Kingdom.

And then there’s Ralph—our four-legged Chief Tasting Supervisor and Head of Firm Opinions—who makes sure nobody takes themselves too seriously.
